She teaches the art of pointed-pen calligraphy at in-person workshops around the US & Canada with her sister, Alyssa. She has practiced calligraphy for over twenty years. Her work has been published in numerous magazines, including The Knot, Inside Weddings, Martha Stewart Weddings, and Town & Country Weddings, among others. She lives with her husband and two dogs in Alexandria, Virginia.

Alyssa Hooper is the director of operations at Laura Hooper Calligraphy, handling all client and vendor communications, managing staff, coordinating workshops across North America and overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations. She also co-teaches the calligraphy workshops with Laura. She lives in Los Angeles, California
