My Soulmate

Aboard the liner Serena, bound for America, two young Indian people meet; the mysterious lady, Harpreet, and Rajeev, a lone gentleman. The two are strangers but Rajeev becomes interested in Harpreet and seeks her out, wanting to know her story. She tells him of her husband, who lives in the United States and who went to India and vanished, shortly after their wedding. Disgraced and abandoned by her husband and his family, she intends to find him and seek revenge. During the voyage, Harpreet makes friends with Pam, who also offers to help her. Rajeev, however, finds himself fighting his feelings for Harpreet. Will her desire for revenge damage the love they might share together? Or will the transformed Harpreet allow herself to let go and be happy on her own terms? Best of all, once in America, the land of opportunity, can she have it all?

Born on 15th August, Dr. Chhanda Banerjee has been a scholar throughout. Gold Medalist in Graduation and Post Graduation, Dr. Banerjee is a Ph.D. holder in Journalism and Mass Communication. She has been an ardent reader and writer from the beginning. Currently working under Chhattisgarh State Govt., India, as Public Relations Officer.
