Loving Alexis

The horrendous murder of one of their own puts pressure on the Pensacola DEA's office head agent, Charlie Vaggar, to find those responsible. With warrants for persons of interest issued, Charlie sets out to build a case against the trio he believes to be involved. When Strap and Flip are picked up Charlie soon realizes that he is dealing with a different breed of hustlers that won't be broken or made to conform to the usual federal tactics of cooperation. To save his rapidly sinking career the agent will spare no expense, not even his marriage, as he becomes obsessed with obtaining a conviction. The death of Mr. Owens, the man that introduced Jake to a new lifestyle, created a need in Alexis that compounded Jake's burdens as he is forced to leave her possibly for good. A vow of allegiance causes Jake to resists the temptation of a life of exile in Haiti and return to the States to face the storms of street life like a soldier. For Jake, hindsight becomes 20/20 when confronted with the epitome of what he knew the streets had become and he longed for another chance to wash his hands of the perils of the streets for good. But first they had to overcome the imminent threat of life behind bars. When a fateful encounter with Alexis reveals Jake's location Charlie moves to apprehend him. What was supposed to be a routine extraction ends with Jake on the receiving end of a life threatening bullet to the chest. Now, with the upcoming grand jury session, the threat of an excessive force and negligence violation and the presence of the NAACP, national attention is brought upon the case and has the DEA agent resulting to drastic measures to obtain evidence for a conviction. Though equipped with the best lawyers that drug money can buy, Monte and Zoe refuse to leave Jake, Strap and Flip's fate in the hands of the judicial system as they move to fulfill the prophecy made to their deceased father as well as their niece. With unconventional means of persuasion in place, the men sit back and witness just how much pressure one agent can take.
