About the Author Educator and Computer Scienist, Richard Sills was named "Educator of the Decade" for his experimental and groundbreaking use of children as teachers. Artwork resulting from his educational experiment was displayed throughout New York City in the late 1970's. He received quite a bit of publicity during this time. As a computer scientist, he has held five patents in computer systems and has developed a means to create a sentient, "thinking computer." Mr. Sills is the founding sponsor of the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Presidential Learning Center at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California. He ran a humorous campaign for President as the "Children's Party" write-in candidate for President in the 1980's. Mr. Sills currently lives in Florida and continues to write.
