Der in Wien geborene britische Musiker und Musiktheoretiker Hans Keller (1919-1985) verfasste neben B chern ber Igor Strawinsky, Benjamin Britten und Joseph Haydn auch zahlreiche Artikel ber Mozart, Beethoven, Sch nberg sowie ber Filmmusik oder zu methodischen Fragen der Musikanalyse und -theorie. 1957 erfand Keller eine nonverbale Analysemethode ( Funktionsanalyse ): durch Verkn pfung einzelner Elemente aus der Originalkomposition wird der logische Zusammenhang der Komposition unmittelbar w hrend der Auff hrung geh rt (eine neue Methode, die verbale Analyse auf kreative und k nstlerische Weise erg nzt).
The British musician and music theorist Hans Keller (1919-1985) who was born in Vienna/Austria, wrote several books about Igor Strawinsky, Benjamin Britten and Joseph Haydn as well as articles about Mozart, Beethoven, Sch nberg, about film music and about methods in music analysis and music theory. In 1957 Keller invented a nonverbal method of music analysis ( functional analysis ): Analytical results are presented as interludes during the performance of a musical piece and the logical network within a compositon can easily be heard.
