Mary Williams, BS, MN is a prominent therapist and educator is the areas of parenting stress management, dysfunctional family systems, and couples communication. She is in private practice at the Child and Family Counseling Center in Colorado, and has held faculty positions at Seattle University, University of Colorado and Colorado Mountain College. Cool Cats, Calm Kids is her fifth book.

Dianne O Quinn Burke graduated from St.Martin School of Art. She has twenty years experience as a freelance artist and has illustrated dozens of published books. She currently resides in California with her husband, who is also an artist, and her cat.
